Joint Pain and Inflammation

Glutathione Fights Inflammation Resulting from Mold Exposure

Inflammation in the joints can result in pain and can present in a number of conditions. Glutathione is a small, yet powerful, antioxidant which is manufactured within the cells of the human body, where it functions to neutralise harmful intra-cellular free radicles and toxins, thereby protecting and preserving the normal, health giving properties of human cells. Free radicals produced by the toxins released by mold and mycotoxins in our environment can contribute to inflammation in the body through all its systems. Glutathione is critical to our detoxification system because toxins bind to Glutathione which then metabolizes and carries the toxins out of our body.

Detox, Boost Immunity, Lower Inflammation

Glutathione is a superstar compound that scientists continue to explore for its amazing properties and benefits to our health. The development of nano-technology and its many applications has been extended to the field of nutraceuticals, in which delivery methods for therapeutic molecules like Glutathione to cells of the human body have been explored and tested. Clinical tests show* that raised glutathione levels taken intravenously as well as transdermally (through the skin) benefit patients with an enhanced ability to fight off toxins, infectious disease, pre-cancerous cells, and the aging process.

The two challenges with supplementation of glutathione are: 1) low bioavailability or poor absorption and 2) hydrolytic degradation (meaning it breaks down or decomposes in the presence of water). Finding the right glutathione supplement can also be difficult due to its bioavailability and sourced material having poor quality. At CitriSafe we have gone to great lengths to develop a high quality formula with our Citri•Rx Acetyl-Glutathione Balm to deliver transdermal benefits.
